For over 15 years Malena’s Vintage Boutique has been buying and selling vintage, and with these treasures come incredible stories both from the people purchasing the items and the ones who have cherished them for decades. Vintage shopping and hunting is no easy feat. Along with the stories comes a responsibility. Restoration and preservation techniques for vintage is unlike that for new fast fashion apparel and on a daily occurrence we share these methods with our clients. Point being, the long overdue blog. For years it has been something in the wings. The desire for sharing these skills on a broader scope, and also to generate a conversation where we can learn from each other will not cease. Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube will supplement the dialogue here. You will even see some of these treasures wind up for sale on Etsy. Styling ideas and wild treasure hunting tales will accompany the tips and tricks, because it can’t all be about Oxi Clean and ultrasonics right?! There’s got to be some crazy cat lady stories or tales of rats scurrying over my feet while in a basement sorting through boxes of jewelry.

We all have an appreciation of pieces ranging from antique Art Deco Diamonds to Emilio Pucci prints, and new inventory arrives regularly. This new journey will expose you to new horizons in the world of vintage. Our goal is that this process will also help us at the shop define our voice within the community of vintage love.
